The Wilberforce International School has a model of management that underscores devotion to aid the poor and needy, and willingness to serve in harmony with Biblical values and morals. The officers of WISPAD, hold Master's and Ph.D. degrees, as well as academic instruction within key areas of the School’s training objectives. These areas include public policy, public health, political science, law, finance, and business administration. The School’s officers have extensive experience in prestigious academic and research institutions, as well as in governmental and non-profit organizations in the United States and abroad.
The Wilberforce International School is directed by its President and Co-founder Joseph Campanella, whose main academic interests lie in the intersection between Christian ethics and multidimensional decision-making modeling for socioeconomic and institutional development. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Political Science with a major in American Politics and Public Policy from Boston University. His Ph.D. dissertation “The Protestant Ethic of Development” advances a multidisciplinary approach for the formulation of decision-making models integrating Christian ethics and behavioral science to the design of developmental public policies. Joseph Campanella also holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government with specializations in political and economic development, poverty alleviation, and applied microeconomics and econometrics. He acquired research experience in the analysis of developmental economic policy both at the former Harvard Institute of International Development (HIID) and the Center for International Development (CID) at the Kennedy School. He served as Chief Legal Advisor in the Central Information Office of the Venezuelan Presidency under President Rafael Caldera, and in several Venezuelan non-profit organizations. Joseph Campanella graduated summa cum laude from the Law School of the Venezuelan Catholic University, Andrés Bello.
WISPAD’s Vice-president and Co-founder Gabriele Campanella directs the main research operations of the School. Her main academic interests include the integration of solid ethical frameworks into the analysis and design of effective public policies in the areas of public health and environmental health. Gabriele Campanella’s expertise combines advanced biomedical research with analytical training in international public health, providing an enriching multidisciplinary perspective for the analysis and design of effective public health policies. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from the University of York, England, and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University with a specialization in International Health, Statistics and Environmental Health. Gabriele Campanella has eleven years of full-time research experience at Harvard Medical School in Immunology, Autoimmunity and Infectious Diseases, and has published a total of twenty-eight peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She also has broad experience working with business and social enterprises throughout China.
